Perc Tests and Septic Designs
Perc Tests and Septic Designs
Nolan Engineering has civil engineers on staff that specialize in the design of both conventional and non-conventional septic systems. We will first perform the perc and deep pit tests required by your building department to determine which type of system is needed. From there we will provide blueprints for the design in order for you to obtain your building permit and for your contractor to follow. We will also perform the final inspection, once the system has been installed and before it has been buried, and provide as-built drawings if required by your Building Department.
If you would like to schedule a perc test, please contact your local Building and Health Departments to determine if someone from their office will need to be there to witness the test. If they do have this requirement, they will also have an application and fee that will need to be submitted by you before they will allow us to schedule the test. Once that has been submitted, we will work with the Building/Health Department to coordinate your test. You will also need to coordinate to have an excavator on-site at the time of the perc test. If you're not already working with a contractor, we can provide one at no cost to you so long as the operator is given the option to bid on the septic installation once the drawings are finalized.
